#3 [Enjoy School Life] SJI Senior School Prom Night, Graduating Class of 2015

A special day for all of us. Prom Night. As I had internship on the day of my prom night itself, I had to change to my prom dress and do light makeup all at my internship location. Seems a little demoralising at first as all of my friends had plenty of time to curl their hair and etc, and I could have been underdressed. However, I quickly realised that it was the great company that was important, and nothing beats being able to meet up with all of my good friends in school! :)

Our Prom Night was held at Goodwood Hotel, and each of us paid a total of $100 each, which was seemingly expensive. We had a buffet-style dinner. Though convenient this way, I personally felt that the servers saw us as a group of students rather than a group of paying customers, and ended up closing the buffet line way too fast-- we could hardly grab any seconds or desserts. The food was not well done in my opinion--and most of us ended up eating very little or just eating rice and bread to fill ourselves. Not too justified for the high price (even if we take into consideration the atmosphere). Service was not good. The waiters asked for our plates very quickly, even though we still had food left. Many of us had to toast with empty glasses. The waiters would not fill up our glasses even though what most of us drank was just plain water. But well, for a feel, here's what I ate.

However, I must give credit to the bakers making the dessert. It was the best food of the buffet line :) and colourful as well, which lights up my Prom spirit once again.  Our group of friends had a quick photograph taken by the photography booth at the Prom reception area and once again, we were happy to continue the night despite the food and service. After all, its our night! :)

In the midst of our dinner we had awards of the day given to our Prom King and Queen, Best Dressed Persons, and the most Uncle and Auntie Award. Everything was fun. We had songs, dance, and a short speech my our cohort head, Mr Karam. Overall, a fun night. I had a welfie taken with Iswarya too. Its rare to catch her in a golden dress. :)

As we had the dance, the ballroom lights dimmed and all of us each had two light sticks that illuminate in the dark. Quite Romantic

Soon after, it was about time to go home, and we grabbed photo opportunities with one another before we leave, go off for the holidays. So sad. :'(
