[Pre-180, My SJI Days] Going to Japanese Cultural Society 50th Anniversary Festival with Japanese Club (JCC) Friends

Another interesting experience during my days with JCC was going to the Japanese Cultural Society 50th Anniversary Festival in 2014.

Held at Orchard Central, the festival boasts stalls selling Japanese wine, Japanese tatami and Japanese foodstuff. In addition, there was also a central stage where Kimono fashion shows and Japanese cultural performances were held.

When my JCC friends and I first arrived at the festival venue, we were immediately captivated by the traditional drum performances. It was pretty prominent. :D

The drummers were really nice and passionate, and when I approached them to ask more about the drum performance in my broken Japanese-mix-English, they were happy to chat about it. And they even let me take a photograph with the drum.

Pretty nice right? After the performance which was at around 12 pm that day, I went off for some school related programmes, and came back to the festival again at around 5pm to participate in their Yukata trying activity (which was only available at around 4pm).

That pretty much wrapped up the festival. :) Thought it was something interesting to share. :)
